Vecto Featured in Scout InsurTech Interview – Full Recap

July 24, 2025

In October 2024, we had the opportunity to sit down with Scout InsurTech to discuss how Vecto is modernizing the rental replacement experience within the auto insurance claims process.

As a vendor-neutral mobility platform, Vecto connects insurers to a dynamic network of rental car companies, rideshare services, and peer-to-peer mobility providers. This approach brings greater flexibility, cost transparency, and operational efficiency to a part of the claims process that has seen little innovation in over 40 years.

“Rental replacement hasn’t meaningfully changed in over 40 years,” said Brian Aumueller, our CEO and Co-Founder. “We built Vecto to give insurers and customers more control, better pricing, and access to the mobility options that reflect how people move today.”

Designed specifically for property and casualty insurance carriers, our platform enables customers to choose from multiple transportation modes during the claims journey—helping insurers reduce costs while improving the customer experience.

Our leadership team brings deep experience across the rental, insurtech, and insurance operations sectors. We're also proud to be supported by an advisory board that includes a former Nationwide SVP with over 30 years of industry experience.

Since the interview, we’ve continued building momentum. At the time, we had already:

  • Launched our second pilot program
  • Been named a top-ten finalist at State Farm ITC in Las Vegas and InsurTech New York
  • Joined the Guidewire InsurTech Vanguard program
  • Signed our first revenue-generating insurance client

With a flexible, scalable platform, Vecto is built to evolve alongside changing mobility trends—while giving insurers full control over cost and operational outcomes.

As we look ahead, our focus remains on growth. Over the next 12 months, Vecto aims to secure additional investment, expand its provider network, and onboard eight new insurance carriers—building on recent success with two signed partners, including one Top-15 national insurer.
